My Approach

  I have a range of state-of-the-art photography and lighting equipment and techniques to meet your project objectives. My cameras are tethered to a Mac computer providing real-time viewing either virtually or onsite. For specific cropping such as packaging, I import a mask to ensure everything fits perfectly.

  With an eye for detail that has been honed over 30 years of art and creative direction experience, I guide the creative process to make sure your vision becomes a reality. I also work cooperatively with Creative Directors from marketing agencies.

  With experience, discipline and creativity, I understand the importance of styling and composition, ensuring your food looks natural, fresh and mouth-wateringly delicious. Years of experience has resulted in a repertoire of solutions to overcome complex challenges.

  I have a collection of over 1000 props consisting of dishes, cutlery, linens, cutting boards, surfaces and backgrounds to choose from. I am constantly updating my inventory with current, on-trend items and can source any unique props that your project requires.

  When retouching food photography, I focus on enhancing the natural colours and textures to make the dish look as appetizing as possible, while removing any distractions. From simple to complex retouching, my goal is to make your food look the best it can be. 

  From ideation to hand-drawn layouts, I can provide a selection of creative options for you to choose from. These options are reviewed and discussed collaboratively at a pre-production meeting ensuring everything goes smoothly on the day of the shoot.
